What we design, build and modernize

Four practices, delivered as project engagements. Most clients start with one and find the others matter to the same problem.

Practice 01

Cloud & Infrastructure

Design and delivery of the platform a business actually runs on — on-premises, in Azure, or the hybrid reality in between. Engagements range from a single migration to a full data centre modernization.

What you get out of it

  • A documented architecture rather than a pile of undocumented servers
  • A migration plan with sequencing, dependencies and rollback
  • Infrastructure that a future engineer can pick up and understand

Capabilities

  • Microsoft Azure architecture and landing zones
  • Cloud migration planning and execution
  • Hybrid infrastructure design
  • Networking, routing and segmentation
  • Firewalls, VPNs and site-to-site connectivity
  • Windows Server design and deployment
  • VMware and Hyper-V virtualization
  • Virtualization modernization and consolidation
  • Storage design and capacity planning
  • Backup and disaster recovery architecture
  • Infrastructure upgrades and refresh projects
  • Greenfield infrastructure deployments
  • Infrastructure assessments and current-state reviews
  • Data centre modernization

Practice 02

Microsoft Automation & Business Solutions

Business process work built on the Microsoft stack the organization already owns. The goal is fewer manual handoffs, fewer spreadsheets acting as systems of record, and approvals that finish on their own.

What you get out of it

  • Manual, repeated work replaced with a maintainable workflow
  • A documented automation someone else can support
  • Governance so the platform does not sprawl

Capabilities

  • Power Automate workflow design and build
  • Power Apps business applications
  • SharePoint architecture and information design
  • Microsoft 365 integration
  • Approval and review automation
  • Business process modernization
  • Forms and structured intake
  • Internal business tools
  • System and line-of-business integrations
  • Power Platform architecture and governance

Practice 03

Application & Web Development

Software written where an off-the-shelf product does not fit: internal tools, customer-facing portals, integrations between systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

What you get out of it

  • An application that fits the process instead of the other way round
  • Source code, deployment notes and handover documentation you own
  • Integrations that fail loudly instead of silently

Capabilities

  • Custom web applications
  • Internal business applications
  • Customer portals
  • Python and Flask application development
  • APIs and service integration
  • System-to-system integrations
  • Business dashboards and reporting
  • Custom websites
  • Application modernization
  • Workflow-driven line-of-business applications

Practice 04

Architecture & Modernization

Engagements that answer 'what should we do, and in what order' before capital is committed. The deliverable is a decision you can defend to a board, not a vendor quote.

What you get out of it

  • A current-state picture that matches reality
  • A target architecture with the trade-offs written down
  • A sequenced roadmap with dependencies and rough effort

Capabilities

  • Solution architecture
  • Infrastructure architecture
  • Cloud readiness assessments
  • Migration planning
  • Technology roadmaps
  • Technical discovery
  • Current-state assessments
  • Future-state architecture
  • Technical and network diagrams
  • Security and network architecture review
  • Architecture documentation
  • Implementation planning and sequencing

Packaged engagements

Fixed-shape work with a known deliverable

Where a problem is common enough to have a standard shape, we run it as a package. Scope is defined up front, and so is what you receive at the end.

Azure / Infrastructure Assessment

Scoped per engagement

A structured look at what you are running today, what it costs you, and what should change first.

  • Discovery sessions with your team
  • Environment inventory
  • Architecture review
  • Risk identification
  • Prioritized recommendations
  • Architecture diagram
  • Modernization roadmap

You receive: Written assessment, current-state diagram and a sequenced roadmap.

Automation Assessment

Scoped per engagement

Find the manual work that is quietly costing the most hours, and decide what to automate first.

  • Business process review
  • Manual workflow discovery
  • Automation opportunity identification
  • Prioritization by effort and impact
  • Power Platform recommendations
  • Implementation roadmap

You receive: Opportunity register, prioritized shortlist and an implementation roadmap.

Infrastructure Modernization

Scoped per engagement

An end-to-end project: from discovery through migration to a documented handoff.

  • Discovery and requirements
  • Target architecture
  • Implementation
  • Migration and cutover
  • Testing and validation
  • Documentation
  • Knowledge transfer and handoff

You receive: A modernized environment, as-built documentation and a handover session.

Custom Business Application Sprint

Scoped per engagement

A focused build that turns one painful process into working software.

  • Requirements definition
  • UX and workflow design
  • Application development
  • Integration with existing systems
  • Testing
  • Deployment
  • Documentation

You receive: A deployed application, its source code and operating documentation.

Network Architecture Review

Scoped per engagement

An independent read on how the network is built, where it is fragile, and what to change.

  • Current-state review
  • Routing, firewall and VPN review
  • Security considerations
  • Network architecture diagram
  • Prioritized recommendations

You receive: Network diagram, findings and a remediation priority list.

Disaster Recovery Review

Scoped per engagement

Establish what recovery actually looks like today, and what it would take to meet the targets the business assumes it already has.

  • Recovery requirements workshop
  • Infrastructure and backup review
  • RPO / RTO discussion
  • Recovery architecture
  • Risk identification
  • Recommendations
  • Remediation roadmap

You receive: Recovery position summary, target architecture and a roadmap to close the gap.

Discuss this engagement

Pricing is scoped per engagement once we understand the environment. We do not publish a rate card that would be wrong for most projects.

Scope

How we are set up to work

We specialize in planned consulting and implementation engagements rather than traditional 24/7 helpdesk services. That focus is what lets senior engineers stay on project work instead of being pulled between interrupts.

What we take on

  • Project-based engagements with a defined start and end
  • Architecture, assessment and roadmap work
  • Implementation, migration and modernization
  • Automation and custom application development
  • Scheduled advisory and consulting arrangements

What we generally do not provide

  • Residential and home computer support
  • Printer and peripheral troubleshooting
  • Password-reset and day-to-day helpdesk queues
  • Unlimited end-user support agreements
  • Consumer PC repair
  • 24/7 general helpdesk contracts

Organizations that need day-to-day end-user support are usually best served by a managed service provider, and we are happy to work alongside one. Plenty of our projects are delivered for clients whose routine support is handled by an internal team or an existing MSP.

Not sure which of these you need?

Describe the problem rather than the solution. Part of our job is working out which practice it actually belongs to.
